Celebrating #NationalSuperHeroDay with the Avengers

It comes as no surprise that this weekend, for many pop culture fans, is all about the Avengers. Infinity War hit theaters on Thursday evening and the box office has seen an influx of cosplayers and die-hard fans turned emotional messes as they walked out of the film. It’s fantastic and emotional but also heartbreaking.

It’s also a testament to the work, dedication, and tireless effort our favorite actors and actresses put in when making these heroes come to life.

Aside from the debut of the film, there’s another reason to celebrate the Avengers this weekend. National Superhero Day, of course! In a video posted to Twitter from the Avengers account, some of our favorite heroes discuss the heroes in their own lives.

Everyone from their mothers to David Attenborough and Lou Gehrig to the Parkland kids and first responders, these heroes have some incredible people in their own lives that both inspire and bring out the best in them.

It’s easy to see everyone from Spider-Man and Bucky Barnes to Black Widow and Okoye on screen and find reasons to look up to the larger than life heroes. What’s better, however, is how many traits they have in their personal lives that make them people we look up to. They’re kind and compassionate, charitable and humble, and more importantly – they’re good at the center of their hearts.
