Celebrating Hilarie Burton’s Birthday with a nod to Peyton Sawyer

Hilarie Burton has a lot going for her; from being an absolutely incredible actress to being an inspiring mother and partner, she’s someone a lot of people look up to. She’s also the girl who brought Peyton Sawyer to life and that is a gift to fans of One Tree Hill and pop culture. The series was a staple to growing up for a lot of us and to celebrate Hilarie’s birthday, we decided to put together some of our favorite Peyton moments from the series.

Like when she fought for the fact that music can be the thing that changes the lives of kids, but also, the lives of her friends and herself.

When she reminded us all that life is short and we have to grab all of the possible moments with the people that we love.

This quote, where she says she just wants hope and anyone who has ever been confused or scared or lost could immediately relate. It’s one of the stand out quotes of the entire series.

When she set herself up (unknowingly) for one of the most romantic moments on the show. Just episodes earlier she asked Lucas who he wanted next to him when all of his dreams were coming true and he answered with… Brooke.

However, when it came down to it, it was Peyton, it’s always Peyton.

Peyton is a friend, a wife, a lover, a fighter, and a woman who embodies the word brave; if you ask us, all of that is because of who Hilarie us, too.  So here’s to you, Hilarie. Happy Birthday.
