The Neighborhood follows “the nicest guy in the Midwest who moves his family into a tough neighborhood in L.A. where not everyone appreciates his extreme neighborliness.” The pilot was originally shot with Josh Lawson and Dream Walker playing the roles of the newcomers but after going through some creative changes, comedy vets Greenfield and Behrs were brought in, a decision that series star Cedric the Entertainer is more than happy with.

[row]“It’s like we brought LeBron to the team. Max comes in with so much pedigree and comedic timing. And then Beth was like a secret weapon. I mean, we knew her from 2 Broke Girls, but when she came on to this pilot, she was just all buckets. She was just all scores. We were like, ‘Give the ball to Beth!’ Cedric said about the casting. [/row]

The two additions are powerhouse comedy vets with Greenfield having starred on Fox’s New Girl alongside Jake Johnson, Zooey Deschanel, and Lamorne Morris as Schmidt for seven seasons and 146 episodes. Berhs appeared on CBS’ 2 Broke Girls with Kat Dennings for 6 seasons and 138 episodes. The two seem to be just the ticket needed to bring The Neighborhood, which was already ordered to series, to the next level!

The Neighborhood will premiere on Monday on CBS this Fall!
