Odds are you probably aren’t too familiar with CBS All Access, the online streaming platform for, you guessed it, CBS. It’s a paid service that offers original content, newly aired content, content from their online catalog, as well as live streams of the local CBS affiliate’s main channel, where available. It’s a pretty cool service and currently where you can find Christine Baranski’s The Good Wife and where Star Trek: Discovery will be premiering in the fall.
Now, subscribers will be getting even more access to original content. On Tuesday during their 2017 TCA Panel CBS All Access announced they would be adding three new series to their platform of a variety of genres. Expect to see a new drama called Strange Angel, a comedy titled No Activity, and a new thriller titled $1.
Marc DeBevoise, president and chief operating officer of CBS Interactive said, “The addition of Strange Angel, our first series based on a compelling and true story, No Activity, our first comedy series, and $1, an innovative thriller, builds on the tremendous momentum CBS All Access has generated in its first season of original programming with The Good Fight and the upcoming Star Trek: Discovery.”
Strange Angel follows Jack Parsons, a man in 1940s Los Angeles who leads a mysteries double life. No Activity comes is the brain child of Will Ferrell, Adam McKay and Funny or Die, and $1 follows a group of people who are all involved in a murder and happened to be connected by the same $1 bill.
More information is still coming out about the shows but you will be able to access them and more by signing up for CBS All Access!
Having studied Media & Writing at James Madison University, I always knew that I wanted to do some type of creative writing, but being able to write about zombies, Starks, and superheroes on a daily basis for Fan Fest is my actual dream. While I probably shouldn’t be as proud as I am to be so similar to Nick Miller, I do hope to one day write my own “Pepperwood Chronicles’.
