‘Once Upon A Time’ Recap: ‘Our Decay’

Once Upon A Time should just stick with its villains, because quite honestly, they’re the best damn thing about this show. I would watch a spinoff series in a heartbeat. And although I wasn’t originally a fan of Hades, I think that his dynamic with Zelena (yes, she’s back) was the most interesting thing about the entire episode. The entire season, actually. The biggest problem I continue having with the show (and subsequently complaining about) is that it has a crap ton of characters, and it doesn’t do anything with...

DareDevil ‘.380’ Recap/Review

Ninjas scale the hospital, 'The Hands' creepy test subject children are free, and Claire is trapped in the hospital. Talk about not being someone's night! The ninjas break into the hospital, and halt Claire and her small hospital team from rescuing the children. Claire's nurses aid is stabbed through the chest, and just before Claire is about to receive the same fate, Matt shows up. He manages to corner the majority of the ninjas in a room, and begins to fight them all off. One of them kicks Claire out...

Star Wars Rebels: Twilight of the Apprentice

The Force has gotten a lot more...interesting. And for the better. ****Spoiler Warning****   In the Season 2 finale of "Star Wars Rebels," we, the audence are left with a lot of great interplay between the Jedi and "Old Master," lessons on how to be a Sith, and a battle that we have been waiting for since the end of Season 5 of "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" concluded with Anakin Skywalker's Padawan, Ahsoka Tano, walked away from the temple. Oh yes, and somehow Maul continues to live on in...

Read. This. Now.- Hawkeye

Hello Geeklings, and welcome to what I'm hoping will be a new column for me over here at Fan Fest. I was recently thinking how to expand the Pull List and talk to you fine people about comics more and then it came to me. Just suggest things to read. This way you guys can hopefully get some ideas for new reading material and I can talk about comic books that I love. It really is a win win situation. #itsthelittlethings I'm thinking that this could be a weekly or...

DareDevil ‘The Man in the Box’ Recap/Review

Detective Sergeant Brett and his partner discover 'The Hands' secret laboratory, where their test subjects are being held. Matt appears to Brett, as the DareDevil and he tells them that the test subjects were being drained for their blood and that they need immediate medical attention. Matt does not reveal that he encountered Nobu, more than likely, because he doesn't fully believe it himself that Nobu somehow survived burning alive. He tells Brett to start off his investigation by looking into the Yakuza. Matt goes and visits Claire, when he...

‘The 100’ Recap: ‘Stealing Fire’

The 100 returns from a seemingly long break, and we’re faced with the harsh reality that perhaps there’s no light at the end of this dark and twisty tunnel. Contrary to the opinions of many of my fellow fans, I still enjoy this show. I’ve been reading the tweets you’re sending me, and I understand your continued aggravation, and the fact that your pain is still very fresh, and still very real. My love for our fallen Commander has not diminished just because I continue to indulge in this sci...

DareDevil ‘Seven Minutes in Heaven’ Recap/Review

Ever wonder what happened to Wilson Fisk after the Season 1 finale? I know I sure did. In the opening minutes of 'Seven Minutes in Heaven', we catch up with the events that occurred after Fisk was sent off to prison. Fisk, to no surprise, sets his sights on taking down a particular prisoner named Dutton, who calls himself the 'kingpin' of the prison. Fisk has no trouble making friends, as he uses his lawyer and his prison best friend, Stewart, to perform favors for some of the other prisoners....

‘iZombie’ Recap ‘Poor Some Sugar, Zombie’

This week’s episode of iZombie if by far the most entertaining of the season (so far). It was sneaky, and sharp and really kept the overall plot momentum going despite being case-centric. Episodes tend to vary, between plot development and figuring out the case, but the two seemed to work seamlessly and in tandem. There were laughs, tensions rising and Liv Moore giving her best a lap dance. What more could you want? Liv on Stripper Brains Can we please take a moment to commend the prop team, or crew,...

DareDevil ‘Guilty as Sin’ Recap/Review

Elektra and Matt are jumped by the Yakuza as they continue to make an attempt to figure out why the Japanese gang have their minds so set on seizing the building at 44th and 11th. Matt becomes fearful for a second, because he is unable to get a read on them as they are able to mask their heartbeat. Elektra tells Matt to focus on their weapons, since the Yakuza carry swords. During the fight, Elektra is slashed across her abdomen and is brutally injured. Matt attempts to help her,...

Better Call Saul “Inflatable” Review

During last nights Better Call Saul I started to think about television spin-offs and how wildly unsuccessful they are. They mostly lack the charm and excitement of the original series and seem like a way for the studios to cash in on the brand. When Better Call Saul was announced I feared that it was going to go down the road of something like Joey (you remember the Friends spin-0ff with just Joey and none of the others. Good one NBC!) opposed to the Fraiser road (which in my mind...
