Looking for some fresh This Is Us news to sink your teeth into? The popular freshman dramedy has just booked True Blood alum Sam Trammell for a recurring season 1 role.
Most commonly known for his name-sharing role of Sam, the shapeshifter of Bon Temps on True Blood, Trammell will be be switching it up on This Is Us playing Ben, a popular frontman for a blues/jazz band hitting the stage later this year.
Although his seven season run on a supernatural show may seem like an interesting background for This Is Us, Trammell is not new to the family drama realm as he has starred in films such as The Fault in Our Stars and About Ray.
It’s still unknown whether he will be in the present day story or the 80’s flashbacks, but either way it will be great to have Trammell back on the small screen again.

Having studied Media & Writing at James Madison University, I always knew that I wanted to do some type of creative writing, but being able to write about zombies, Starks, and superheroes on a daily basis for Fan Fest is my actual dream. While I probably shouldn’t be as proud as I am to be so similar to Nick Miller, I do hope to one day write my own “Pepperwood Chronicles’.
