Carrie Fisher’s Dog Gary Recognized her in ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’
Fans of Star Wars: The Last Jedi have taken the pop culture realm by storm as the film made it’s big debut just days ago. Social media is full of articles, tweets, and posts where fans are raving about the film and their favorite actors and actresses.
There are also some fans of Star Wars that can’t exactly get online and talk about how much they loved the film. However, that didn’t make them any less excited to experience The Last Jedi. In fact, our favorite reaction to the film so far came from a dog.
Carrie Fisher’s dog to be exact.
After Carrie’s death, her dog Gary went to live with her daughter, Billie Lourd and has never forgotten his own Princess Leia.
During a screening of the film, Gary was sat upon Carrie’s assistant’s lap and perked up each time she was shown on screen.
The late @carrieffisher's dog Gary just watched #TheLastJedi! He sat on Fisher's former assistant's lap during the film. She said his ears perked up every time she was on screen ❤️@starwars @ABC7 pic.twitter.com/2rCCGIi6Al

If that’s not the type of story that pulls at your heartstrings! The film was an emotional one for friends, family, and fans of Carrie; it’s no surprise that Gary was just as emotional as audiences around the world were upon watching The Last Jedi.
