‘Carpool Karaoke’ Episode Featuring Chester Bennington and Linkin Park is Currently Streaming on Facebook for Free

Fans of the band Linkin Park are still mourning the loss of the group’s lead singer Chester Bennington.  Fans were shocked by the terrible news which came in late July that Bennington had died in an apparent suicide.

Just days prior to Bennington’s death, the group had filmed an episode of the viral hit series Carpool Karaoke with fellow carpooler Ken Jeong.  Due to the circumstances surrounding his passing and the pain in which his loss caused, it was unclear as to whether or not the episode would ever see the light of day.

James Corden who is a producer on the series made it clear that the episode would only be aired if and when Bennington’s family decided to do so.  The family would be responsible for the manner in which the episode was handled and how it was released if it was to be released at all.

Carpool Karaoke typically is only available through Apple Music or Apple TV however, on Thursday, the band Linkin Park shared their episode, free of charge, to all of their followers on their social media pages.

The episode features Bennington and his Linkin Park bandmates along with Jeong singing some of their greatest hits while chatting and laughing.  Before the episode begins, a message appears which says, “With the blessing of Chester’s family and his bandmates, we share this episode and dedicate it to the memory of Chester.  This was taped July 14th, 2017.”  This message is followed by an in memoriam tribute to Bennington which reads, “In memory of Chester Bennington, March 20, 1976 – July 20, 2017.”
