As we draw closer to the release date of Spider-Man: Homecoming, the MCU hype has been steadily growing. After having years of Spider-Man ‘flops’, as the critics have called it, this upcoming installment looks incredibly promising.
The next film in the Spider-verse that has got some writers gears turning, is the upcoming Venom movie. Ever since it was announced that the villain would be getting his own movie, the fanbase has been ecstatic. Well get ready, Spidey fans, because the news is about to get better. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Venom will also feature the cinematic debut of Carnage!
Carnage is bonded to serial killer Cletus Kasady. Cletus Kasady first appeared in The Amazing Spider-Man #344 and became Carnage in The Amazing Spider-Man #360.
Although Carnage is a Spider-Man villain, there is a famous animosity between Venom aka Eddie Brock and Carnage. While some may now view Venom as an ‘anti-hero’, Carnage has always been known as a crazed murdering psychopath.
Carnage is so violent and diabolical that it eventually let to Spider-Man being forced to team up with Venom to battle Carnage.
Venom will star Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock, the man who bonds with the alien symbiote to become Venom. The film’s is predicted for an R-Rating, as it is going to be geared towards a more ‘action-horror’ based genre.
Venom is scheduled for release on Oct. 5, 2018.
