Carly Pope Boards ‘Arrow’ Season Five
Looks like a different kind of trouble may be coming to town for Arrow.
Carly Pope has joined the CW series for season five. According to TVInsider, Pope will be playing Coast City journalist, Susan Williams.
Williams will be heading to Star City in the hopes of getting a big story from the city’s newest mayor that will help make a name for herself.
Susan Williams has a DC connection to Green Lantern. As she first tracks down Jack Jordan for a story for Behind the Scenes Magazine about his campaign to become elected District Attorney, her investigating eventually leads her to the wrong assumption that Jim, and not Hal, is the Jordan that happens to be the undercover superhero. Williams eventually marries Jim Jordan.
Pope will join recently new additions Rick Gonzalez, Josh Segarra, Chad L. Coleman, as well as returning face Madison McLaughlin.
Pope’s previous credits include The Tomorrow People, Suits, and WB’s Popular.
Does this mean that we will be seeing Arrow‘s iteration of Susan Williams going not only Oliver Queen as the mayor but maybe going after the Green Arrow as well for a story?
Arrow returns for season five Wednesday, October 5 at 8 p.m. on the CW.
