According to Hollywood Reporter, during one of Lady Gaga’s shows for her Las Vegas Residency known as “Enigma,” Bradley Cooper joined Gaga herself onstage in order for them to sing “Shallow,” the most popular song from A Star is Born, together, just as they did in the movie! A video of this rare authentic performance recorded by a fan can be found below.
As can be seen in the video, Gaga was the musician at her own show, while Cooper was the one reluctant to perform onstage. When “Shallow” is performed in A Star is Born, their characters were in opposite positions. This parallel matches exactly what has been noted by Lady Gaga in various interviews: she knew herself and who she wanted to be right from the start of her career as a musician, whereas her character, Ally, has so much insecurity that she is the opposite of Gaga.
The song, “Shallow,” has been nominated for the Oscar for Best Original Song, and fans have speculated that Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga will perform the song at the award show next month.
As anticipated, A Star is Born is now available on digital, and will be released on Blu-ray on February 19.
