‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ Sing-Along Screenings Coming to Select Theaters

If you haven’t seen the Golden Globe-winning Bohemian Rhapsody yet, or if you want to relive the magic and singalong on the top of your lungs, you’re definitely going to love this! There is a special singalong version of the film hitting theaters starting this week!

Fox and New Regency announced on Wednesday that Bohemian Rhapsody‘s singalong screenings will be taking place at 750 theaters throughout the United States and Canada starting this Friday, January 11th!

According to Entertainment Weekly, Chris Aronson, Fox’s president of domestic distribution, said in a statement, “We are delighted to give audiences the opportunity to see this outstanding Golden Globe-winning film featuring Rami Malek’s amazing Golden Globe-winning performance in theaters all over the U.S. and Canada in both its original form and in a never-before-experienced ‘sing-along’ version.”

Bohemian Rhapsody recently took home two of the top honors at this year’s Golden Globe awards. Rami Malek, whose portrayal of iconic Queen frontman Freddie Mercury was flawless, took home the award for best actor in a drama while the film itself won best motion picture. The official synopsis for the film reads as follows:

[row]“Bohemian Rhapsody is a foot-stomping celebration of Queen, their music, and their extraordinary lead singer Freddie Mercury. Freddie defied stereotypes and shattered convention to become one of the most beloved entertainers on the planet. The film traces the meteoric rise of the band through their iconic songs and revolutionary sound. They reach unparalleled success, but in an unexpected turn Freddie, surrounded by darker influences, shuns Queen in pursuit of his solo career. Having suffered greatly without the collaboration of Queen, Freddie manages to reunite with his bandmates just in time for Live Aid. While bravely facing a recent AIDS diagnosis, Freddie leads the band in one of the greatest performances in the history of rock music. Queen cements a legacy that continues to inspire outsiders, dreamers and music lovers to this day.”[/row]

In addition to Malek, the film stars Lucy Boynton, Gwilym Lee, Ben Hardy, Joseph Mazzello, Aiden Gillen, Tom Hollander, and Mike Myers.
