Iger spoke on Tuesday at Vanity Fair’s Establishment Summit, where he confirmed that he is planning to step down from his position as Disney CEO in 2019. He was frank.

“This time I mean it. It’s time.”

There were plans for former Chief Operating Officer Tom Skaggs to take over for him in 2018, but those plans were squashed when Skaggs left the company prematurely. Disney’s board then extended Iger’s contract, now scheduled to end in 2019.

This all comes after his initial plan to step down in 2016 did not work out. There is no confirmed replacement, but a big player may be Kathleen Kennedy, the current President of Lucasfilm, which Disney recently acquired.
