A new Avengers Chairperson has Been Chosen
There has always been a certain significance that comes with the role of Avengers Chairperson in the Marvel comics world. The chairperson is more than the leader of the team. One of the role’s most important responsibilities is to keep heart in the group. You could say that the team is completely defined by the chairperson-a role that hasn’t been used in a long time.
Right now in the MCU, there’s a lot going on and it’s been the climax of some difficult events since Avengers Disassembled in 2004. There is conflict almost constantly, and the team was pretty divided. Now, the team is back to normal working together, and they were ready to choose somebody new for the high esteemed role.
In Avenger #8, King T’Challa was voted in. Black Panther is now the Avengers Chairperson, and he was probably the best choice with his refined way of speaking and the classy way he carries himself. The chairperson is the liaison between the superheroes and the US government, so it’s a pretty crucial role.
Black Panther is a king, a fighter and a very spiritual leader to his people. He’s made his place in the Universe, and with Black Panther being a huge success at the box office, this role makes a lot of sense in the comics.
Captain America, Iron Man, Wasp, Hawkeye and Vision have each been chairperson in the past.
At the moment, each of them are carrying a lot around, and are a little bit sidetracked with their own issues to continue taking that role on.
Do you think Black Panther is the perfect person to hold chair?
