Published on September 26th, 2018 | Updated on September 26th, 2018 | By FanFest

It’s been an exciting week for the Bird Of Prey production. Production Weekly previously reported the working title of the movie as ‘Fox Force Five,’ which is a very fitting name for the girl gang that will team up on the screen.

We also saw that Warner was looking into their Huntress and Black Canary and that they already did some test readings with a few actresses. We can now happily say that Jurnee Smollett-Bell is our new Black Canary and Mary Elizabeth Winstead is our Huntress.

Jurnee Smollett-Bell is known for her role in the TV show Underground. While her co-star Mary Elizabeth Winstead is known for her roles in Fargo and 10 Cloverfield. They both will join Harley Quinn in their own adventure with their ‘Fox Force Five‘ to protect Gotham from Black Mask.

The girls that will be seen on screen are Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie), Black Canary (Jurnee Smollett-Bell), Cassandra Cain, Huntress (Mary Elizabeth Winstead), and Renee Montoya. No other news regarding who would be joining the cast was reported after the two ladies mentioned above.

The Birds Of Prey movie Fox Force Five, according to Deadline’s exclusive will hit the theaters on February 7, 2020. What do you think of the new additions to the cast? Let us know in the comments below.

Read the possible synopsis for the movie:

“After splitting up with The Joker, Harley Quinn and three other female superheroes – Black Canary, Huntress and Renee Montoya – come together to save the life of a little girl (Cassandra Cain) from an evil crime lord.”
