During Sunday’s Grammy awards ceremony, the late Carrie Fisher picked up her first win for Best Spoken Word Album for her book The Princess Diarist.
Actress Billie Lourd proudly celebrated her mother’s win with an adorable and nostalgic post to her Instagram account. Lourd posted, “Princess Diarist was the last profesh(ish) thing my momby and I got to do together! I wish she was here to carry me down the red carpet in some bizarre floral ensemble but instead we’ll celebrate in true Carrie style: in bed in front of the TV over cold Coca Colas and warm e cigs. I’m beyond proud.”
Check out Lourd’s sweet throwback post honoring her mom below:
The Princess Diarist is a compilation of Fisher’s old diaries which she kept while filming the Star Wars films. She had rediscovered her works and shared them with the world before her passing in December of 2016.
Fisher’s legacy continues to live on through her work on the big screen, the memories which Lourd continues to share and now through her Grammy-winning spoken-word book. Congratulations Carrie Fisher!
