John Ross Bowie, who plays the ultimate frenemy Barry Kripke in The Big Bang Theory is joining the ABC team to be the male lead opposite Minnie Driver in the comedy pilot Speechless.
Speechless centers on a family with a special-needs child that is used to dealing with challenges. Bowie plays the dad, Jimmy, who uses humor to get through difficult situations. He is the father of three teenage boys, and lets his wife, Maya, wear the pants in the family. But he’s always there as a buffer when any of them go off the deep end.
Speechless is brought to us by Scott Silveri and 20th Century Fox TV.
