Ben Affleck Taking on a Bigger Role in the DCCU

This March we saw Ben Affleck don the cowl for the first time in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Deadline reports that Warner Brothers has made a small change to the brain trust for Justice League Part One and Two, that change being that Ben Affleck will join as executive producer as well as costar. He will join Zach Snyder and screen writer Chris
Terrio developing this superhero world, Ben has worked well with both men in the past. Terrio wrote the script for not only Batman V Superman, but also Argo. Though we have all seen Ben in front of the camera for more than 20 years, his two Oscars come from behind the scenes work. The first he won with Matt Damon for best original
screen play for the 1997 film Good Will Hunting, the second for directing Argo. The combination of Snyder, Terrio, and Affleck should create a pretty solid starting point for this batch of movies that are coming our way!
Affleck will follow this up with writing, directing, and starring in the solo Batman film. So many people were terrified of Batfleck, but if that doesn’t just scream Batman I don’t know what does. If Bruce Wayne was making a story about himself there is no doubt in my mind that he would not let anyone else be a part of it!
Justice League Part One is currently in production and is set to be released November 17th, 2017.
Kyle was born and
raised a nerd, as a toddler she
would watch Batman on repeat and we are not
going to say that did something to her brain…but it might
have. These days she
is a TV/Movie junkie with a side of comic obsession. Now that she has found this
incredible outlet to share her nerdy perspective on movies and TV shows she can
stop pestering her
husband and animals with superhero business!
