You know The Last Of Us, you love The Last Of Us! We’ve known for some time now that The Last of Us would be getting a television series. That would be great news on its own but the fact that it’s on HBO just makes it that much sweeter. HBO creates quality content and I’m excited to see what they can do with The Last of Us IP. With the casting of Ellie and Joel, I’m thinking that they’ll probably be portraying the events from the game. I hope they do, but it is what comes after that excites me the most.

If we’re lucky maybe they can show us what happened between the two games. The show’s creator has also promised to make sure Ellie, as a gay character, is well represented during the show. You’re probably excited to know who will be portraying the two leads, huh? Well, maybe not actually since you obviously saw the title before clicking on this… I’ll tell you anyway! Bella Ramsey and Pedro Pascal will be Ellie and Joel respectively.

The Last of Us was one of the best PS3 games and closed out that generation with a bang. The first game was later ported to the Playstation 4 system with some improved graphics. The second game was released earlier in 2020. The second game was a source of great controversy when it first came out. This is your spoiler warning going forward!

The game was heavily criticized for killing Joel very early on in the game. As if that weren’t bad enough the game then forces you to play as his murderer, Abby, for the second half of the game. This led to the game being widely criticized. Everyone is entitled to their opinion though, of course.

Hopefully we’ll have some more casting news soon!
