Behind-the-Scenes Set Photos Real Game of Thrones’ Emilia Clarke’s First Appearance in MCU

Since forever, people have been fan-casting Emilia Clarke in various superhero films and TV shows, but Marvel Studios is the first to answer our wishes and introduce Game of Thrones‘ Daenerys Targaryen to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

In the television series, Clarke will debut in this new setting through Secret Invasion, a Disney+ miniseries that will see the Skrulls return in an all-out invasion of Earth.

This time, instead of launching a frontal assault with an armada, the Skrulls have employed their doppelganger talent to infiltrate different strata of society.

Reprising their roles from previous MCU films are Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury and Cobbie Smulders’ Maria Hill. Ben Mendelson will also make a comeback as Talos, a leader of the Skrull and a friend of Fury, who for the past few years has been operating in his stead on Earth.

As for Emilia Clarke, the part is still unknown, despite the fact that the rumor mill has not stopped spinning. Now, new set photos from Secret Invasion give us our first look at her role in the series, which you can see below.

The ambiguity of her appearance is made more apparent by these stills, which honestly don’t give us much to go on. But at least we know she’s playing a person in the show now, right? That’s the problem with these Skrulls; you never really know who’s who, and Marvel will no doubt use this plot device.

About Emilia Clarke

Emilia was born on 23 October 1986 in England and grew up as the only daughter with two older brothers. Her mother was a theater nurse and her father worked at the National Health Service as an IT consultant. She always had an interest in acting but never pursued it until after she graduated from college with degrees in English literature, history, and drama studies from the University of Bristol (2005).

She initially planned on becoming a lawyer like her brother but changed course when she realized how much she loved acting.

After graduation, she worked as a bartender and took up odd jobs to support herself until she was cast as Daenerys Targaryen in Game of Thrones, which aired on HBO in 2011.

Emilia currently lives in London with her dog called Motte and she spends most weekends hiking or paddleboarding; even if it’s pouring rain. She is also in a large group chat with the rest of the “Game of Thrones” cast members called ′Thrones’ Death Crew” where they share memes and speak about random things that come to mind.
