Batwoman 2×16 Trailer: “Rebirth”! This Trailer Gives Us Our First Look At Diggle’s Return! Welcome Back David Ramsey!

Batwoman finally returned on Sunday, and what an episode it was. Things are finally progressing with Kate, and next week’s episode looks like it’s going to be nuts. The Batwoman 2×16 trailer is here, and even features Diggle!

That’s right! For those who might not know, John Diggle is coming back to the Arrowverse. He’s going to be spread out across multiple shows, pretty much all the Arrowverse shows. He’s even going to direct some of the episodes!

We learned a little while back exactly why Diggle is headed to Gotham! It’s quite an interesting reason, too! He spoke with TV Line, and discussed the whole thing! Though the interview was with TV Line these quotes come from ComicBook.com.

“Headaches. Debilitating headaches. And he’s hearing voices. He goes to Gotham to get help with this, to see a physician there, and in the meantime, his A.R.G.U.S. story continues. His wife is still head of A.R.G.U.S. and he’s co-head, and that’s part of what he brings when he goes to these cities. He’s there to assist and help in whatever way he can with his access to A.R.G.U.S. That’s a very big part of who he is.”

It’ll be interesting to see Diggle, no doubt. It’s been a while and we miss the guy. We miss Arrow in general, actually… but we can’t get started on that or we’ll start crying. We definitely don’t want that.

Our point is that seeing Diggle will be awesome, but that’s not the only thing going on. This episode is going to give Alice some kind of new mission! This mission was shrouded in mystery for a long time, and still pretty much is, but we learned something at least. This new mission is going to bring her and her father working together, which should prove… interesting. Especially after everything that’s happened over the last few episodes.

What are they going to be doing? Well, you probably guessed it by now. They need to work together to bring Kate Kane home, you know, the Kate Kane who’s been dead all season. Okay, to be fair we learned she was alive some time ago. Could Kate finally be coming home!?

Caroline Dries, the showrunner, discussed the whole Kate, uh, situation, let’s call it. This comes courtesy of an interview with Entertainment Weekly.

“We have the Bat Team and all of Kate’s loved ones looking for her for the first half of the season, and they definitively learn that she’s dead so that they can now close the book on Kate and grieve, but the audience is let in on this huge secret that she’s alive. and that then propels these two parallel stories moving on to the second half of our season which [are]: the Bat Team coalescing without Kate, and Kate going through her mysterious journey as will unfold as the season goes on.”

Well, looks like Kate will be around for a little while, at least. For now, why don’t you check out the synopsis for “Rebirth” below!

“CAN’T LET IT GO – When a familiar foe descends upon Gotham, Batwoman (Javicia Leslie) and Mary (Nicole Kang) find they must rely on each other more than ever. Alice (Rachel Skarsten) has a new mission – and gets an unexpected ally to join her. Also starring Dougray Scott, Meagan Tandy and Camrus Johnson. Michael Allowitz directed the episode written by Daniel Thomsen.”
