Avengers: Infinity War is one of the most talked about films in the entertainment industry, which may sound strange considering few people have seen the trailer in its entirety and spoilers are nearly impossible to come by.
However, we’re sort of glad there aren’t a plethora of spoilers floating around, the cast and crew of films like this one in the MCU are sworn to secrecy. It’s a massive deal, so when they do give us little plot details, we pay close attention.
One thing we’ve learned about the plot of Infinity War is that Nebula will come face to face with all of her dark past, which is even worse than we know so far, and that’s pretty terrible.
Thanos took Nebula apart and rebuilt her (that’s saying it tamely) so when we say what we know so far is bad, it truly is. Karen Gillian spoke about Nebula recently at a convention in Florida and added to that when she said we’ve not yet seen it all.
‘Without giving away any spoilers, we’re definitely going to continue the arc for Nebula and find out more about her past, and actually, we’re going to find out that it’s even worse than we know.‘
She continued to say that it’s going to be an ’emotional explosion’.
‘We’re going to see her confront all of it. It’s going to be an emotional explosion.‘
What could be worse than the way Thanos destroyed her, leaving her in a state that wasn’t dead yet not alive? Nebula’s character was shown in a new light when she finally opened up enough to share some of what happened under Thanos. While her new depth has made it easier to like Nebula, will it be too much for her to handle in Infinity War?
We’ve still got a few months to find out, but we do know that the intensity in this film is going to be next level, and likely hard to watch for fans of the MCU superheroes.
‘…but I knew him’
