Netflix subscribers are getting a pretty awesome Christmas present this year from the streaming service provider. The biggest Marvel film to date, Avengers: Infinity War, will be available to stream through the platform starting on December 25th.
The news was announced in a tweet on Monday from the NX on Netflix Twitter account which read, “Oh, snap. Avengers: Infinity War is coming to @Netflix on December 25.”

The film will be one of the last Marvel Studios productions to grace the Netflix platform as the streaming service’s deal with Disney is set to expire in 2020. Disney will be moving its content to its new streaming service, Disney+, starting with all new films hitting theaters in 2019. As such, Avengers: Infinity War and Ant-Man and the Wasp should be the last of the Marvel films released on Netflix. Starting with Captain America, all Walt Disney Studios (including Marvel Studios) films will be released on Disney+.
Avengers: Infinity War is, without a doubt, Marvel’s most ambitious film to date. A film 10-years in the making, Avengers: Infinity War shattered box office records during its theatrical release surpassing the $2 billion mark at the global box office in just 48 days and, today, remains the fourth highest-grossing film of all time.
The film is also currently available on digital and on Blu-ray/DVD with over 2-hours worth of added bonus footage. You can check out a full list of bonus features available HERE.
