New ‘Avengers: Endgame’ Theory Suggests We’ve Been Mislead

A new theory about Marvel has fans believing that all the events since Avengers: Age of Ultron have been purposefully set up to mislead them.

The theory is supported by one specific scene from the film in which Tony Stark talks to Bruce Banner before they bring Vision to life.

After Tony finishes his pitch to get Bruce to help him, Brice responds, “I’m in a loop! I’m caught in a time loop. This is where it all went wrong.”

Stark then replies, “It’s not a loop. It’s the end of the line.”

Reddit user RahulVijh3 pointed out that it would make sense for Doctor Strange to have put the world inan actual time loop during Age of Ultron  to assure that the Avengers can beat Thanos. The theory says that Strange could have easily done the same thing here that he did against Dormammu in Doctor Strange.
This means they have infinite chances to win against Thanos, and could try again and again.
The theory also brings Ant-Man in, saying he’s a key part of the theory. He is the only character with the ability to get past the loop through the Quantum Realm. He would use its time vortexes to escape the loop and appear elsewhere.

This part is a bit jarring. The theory says that Avengers: Infinity War got its title from the fact that the world is in that infinite loop. Strange already mentioned that there are 1,400,604 different versions of reality where they lose, before they can actually win.

The last part of the theory can be debunked right off the bat. Infinity War was named for the Infinity Stones of course. There was a war against Thanos getting them, and many people died trying to stop it.

Banner does say he’s in a loop,  but it’s a normal reaction for him to say, especially when he feels like he’s gone down this dangerous road with Stark before. Although he could just be confused and not completely aware of the loop, he would have created a version of Vision that didn’t have to be destroyed with the Mind Stone. He’d know everything that’s to come.

Doctor Strange also didn’t know how to create a time loop until he met The Ancient One. We know when he met her was the first time and became her student. The events of the films just wouldn’t line up to support the theory. We will see her again in Endgame, though.

Tom Holland revealed in an interview last year that Doctor Strange talks a lot about the Quantum Realm in the film, so we know that they are discussing it in Endgame. He’s going to make sure that the events happen the correct way and use the realm.

The theory could have a shred of truth to it, but it’s unlikely that it’s the endgame to the Endgame.

Avengers: Endgame hits theaters on April 26th, 2019.
