Audience Gets Creepy Cards at TIFF’s ‘Mother!’ Premiere
Talk about raising the chill factor for your thriller film!
At the Toronto International Film Festival’s premiere of Mother!, director Darren Aronofsky handed audience and members of the press very unsettling prayer cards – yes, prayer cards – fitting the mysterious theme of the movie and which could possibly reveal some plot details.

Starring Jennifer Lawrence, Javier Bardem, Ed Harris, and Michelle Pfeiffer, the film’s plot details have still managed to be kept under wraps even as its release date fast approaches. However, most of the critical reception has been positive, calling it “nightmarish,” “a Rosemary’s Baby-like intimate horror tale that definitely grabs your attention,” and “a psychological head trip so extreme it should come with a health warning.” Well, color us intrigued and slightly spooked!
Mother! opens nationwide September 15th.
