Fans of the hit CW TV Series Arrow have been split down the middle when it comes to deciding who they feel would be the best pairing for Oliver. Before her death in Season 4, quite a decent group of fans were hoping that Oliver would rekindle his romance with Laurel, bringing to life that Green Arrow/Black Canary romance.
Another pairing that has a gigantic following is that of ‘Olicity’, the pairing of Oliver Queen and Felicity Smoak. Following their break-up in Season 4, fans were not shy to let out their cries of protest. After 3 seasons of hope and longing, the couple had finally gotten together. Felicity brought a life into Oliver’s life that he so desperately needed, and she had the gift of making him feel like a human being again. Despite Oliver’s desperate attempts, Felicity made it quite clear that a rekindled romance was not happening there. He had lied to her too many times, the greatest lie of all being that he kept the fact that he had a son hidden from her.
At the Season 5 finale, ‘Olicity’ fans all around the world got a spark of hope when Oliver and Felicity shared a kiss on the island, minutes before it exploded.
In a recent interview at SDCC with ComicBook.com, the Arrow star was asked on whether or not having William in his life will cause an impact on the (possibly) romance between Oliver and Felicity:
“William’s not a baby; he’s in sixth grade. It’s a thing; it’s not messing with us, but it’s a thing.”
Wait, so does this confirm that she survived the explosion on Lian Yu?
Only time will tell!
Arrow will return on October 12th at 9PM on The CW.
