One thing we have been progressively learning about our favorite I.T girl is that she is definitely not the same Felicity that we saw and have grown to love since Season One. After the death of her beloved boyfriend, Detective Billy Malone, we have seen Felicity go on this dark downward spiral. She’s going back to a life she swore she would never go back to; the hactivist side of life. She’s now blackmailing and attempting to destroy people’s lives in the most vindictive of ways possible.
This behavior reminds us very much of how Oliver used to think, when he first returned from the island. The more secretive and more ‘former Oliver’ she becomes… the more we see the ‘lighter’ side of her slip away…. and Team Arrow is NOT having it, especially Oliver and Diggle.
This dark path that Felicity is headed down will definitely raise the tension between the former couple.
“They’ve had some issues that have been bubbling underneath the surface. They haven’t even really been bubbling. They’ve been beneath the surface, and we find out why they’re beneath the surface, that there’s a very specific reason that we delve into,” Stephen Amell stated, in a recent interview with TVGuide.com
“Them being head-to-head in terms of one having differing tactical opinion than the other one brings some of their more personal opinions back to the surface,”
