Sterling Archer and his crazy crew of coworkers are going to be around for at least a few more seasons.
FX announced this week that the network has renewed the show, Archer, for three additional seasons. The three seasons will each contain eight-episodes and will carry the animated comedy through Season 10.
Archer is an animated series set in the world of international espionage following the activities of a super-spy and his collegues. The show features the vocal talents of H. Jon Benjamin (Sterling Archer), Aisha Tyler (Lana Kane), Jessica Walter (Malory Archer), Chris Parnell (Cyril Figgis), Judy Greer (Cheryl Tunt), Amber Nash (Pam Poovey), Adam Reed (Ray Gillette) and Lucky Yates (Krieger).
The series was created by Adam Reed and Floyd County Productions. Reed and Matt Thompson are executive producers. Floyd County Productions has also signed a new deal with FX Networks.
According to Variety, Nick Grad, president of original programming for FX Networks and FX Productions said:
“We can’t say enough about what Adam, Matt and the entire Archer team at Floyd County have done to keep this series so insanely funny and vital through seven seasons. The move to Los Angeles this past season as private detectives was just the latest twist in Archer’s legendary exploits and the next three seasons will to be just as amazing and unpredictable. We are thrilled to continue making great TV with our friends and colleagues at Floyd County.”
