‘Annabelle: Creation’ – A Delightfully Fright Filled Quest Takes Over Ripley’s Believe It or Not! in NYC
Annabelle: Creation hits the big screen next weekend! The supernatural horror film prequel to the box office hit, Annabelle, released in 2014, is sure to terrify theater goers with its demonic delight. Last night, a group of 13 Annabelle dolls, created by award winning Mezco Toyz, infiltrated Ripley’s Believe It or Not! in Times Square, New York City. The Annabelles attempted to hide amidst the Odditorium’s collection of artifacts and exhibits. The mission? Find the Annabelles.
All visitors received a special map as to the location of each doll. A toy block with a letter on it was placed near the discovered dolls and was to be written on the map. When found in the correct order, the 13 letters spelled out… ANNABELIEVEIT.
Excited fans wandered about in search of these disturbing dollies. Some were high, some were low, some were hidden in the shadows or trapped in the jaws of ferocious beasts. A creepy quest indeed! It took teamwork, but in the end, all Annabelles were uncovered. Upon exit, Mezco Toys treated the successful seekers to some surprise goodies that included hats, t-shirts, jewelry, bags, movie tickets and more.
Guests to this chilling event were also offered a photo opportunity with the demon that possesses Annabelle. The unnerving entity took her place at the entrance of Ripley’s, daring brave souls to come and take a picture. Nervous individuals timidly approached as the demon glared into their eyes and reached into their souls.
Those that survived the fearsome encounter have the chance to win one of the dolls hidden throughout the auditorium by posting their pic on social media using specified hashtags. Who would not want to have Annabelle watching over their bed at night? I think I’ll stick to seeing her at the theater. 🙂
