It seems like every superhero and villain will be getting some screen time in the near future, doesn’t it? And it seems like every one in Hollywood has their favorite that they’d like to play.
But have you heard of Squirrel Girl? Surely you’ve heard of Anna Kendrick. Kendrick has shown interest in playing Squirrel Girl.
“My brother sent me a Squirrel Girl comic because he thinks I should [play her]. I don’t know what Squirrel Girl does other than be half squirrel, but I could be half squirrel!” She said in an interview with Net- A- Porter.
Squirrel Girl, A.K.A. Doreen Green, is a young girl with a pet squirrel. She also has a prehensile tail, razor-sharp claws and retractable knuckle spikes. Her abilities include superhuman agility, senses, and strength, and she can communicate with squirrels.
Sadly the film isn’t in development… yet. The Marvel theater slots are booked until 2020, but after that? Who knows what the future holds.
