TNT has some good news for fans of the Cody crime family as the series was just renewed for season 4!
The series is currently airing its third season on the network but there is still much more drama ahead for Smurf, Pope, Craig, Deran and J. Animal Kingdom kicked off season 3 by revealing that Scott Speedman’s Baz had died from his season 2 finale injuries after being shot several times by a mysterious gunman. His death has left the Cody boys divided, searching for independence with Smurf still behind bars.
With Speedman out, Animal Kingdom stars Ellen Barkin, Shawn Hatosy, Ben Robson, Jake Weary, Finn Cole and Molly Gordon. It’s currently airing on TNT Tuesdays at 9/8c and is expected to wrap up season 3 in August. Speedman may be off TNT, but he hasn’t gone too far in the television world. His death came shortly after the announcement that he would have a recurring guest role on Grey’s Anatomy as Dr. Nick Marsh. His first episode aired on March 29th.
TNT also renewed the Niecy Nash, Carrie Preston and Dean Norris series Claws for a third season of manicurists caught up in the world of crime.

Having studied Media & Writing at James Madison University, I always knew that I wanted to do some type of creative writing, but being able to write about zombies, Starks, and superheroes on a daily basis for Fan Fest is my actual dream. While I probably shouldn’t be as proud as I am to be so similar to Nick Miller, I do hope to one day write my own “Pepperwood Chronicles’.
