Andrew Lloyd Webber Night was planned to conclude this week’s Masked Singer season 8 with three new contestants performing songs by the iconic composer. Mother Nature, on the other hand, had other ideas. The National League Division Series between the Atlanta Braves and Philadelphia Phillies was delayed due to rain in Atlanta. Game 2 of the series did not begin until 7:30 p.m. ET, nearly an hour later than scheduled. Fox claimed that despite the fact that the game has ended, this episode will air after it is completed .

The Masked Singer‘s social media team kept promoting the new episode up to about an hour before it was scheduled to air. Nicole Scherzinger posted a picture of herself with Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg on the day the episode was produced, as did panelist Nicole Scherzinger. Ken Jeong also tweeted a preview clip.

On Monday, after months of speculation and numerous reports from fans who had been unable to watch the program live, Fox finally addressed the delay. The Miss Masky account sent out a tweet that read simply: “Well, it looks like baseball got the best of us… I’m looking for clues to find out when [The Masked Singer] will be on [television],”

Andrew Lloyd Webber's "The Masked Singer" Finale is Delayed, Fans Are Fuming After the Show Is Postponed

The episode will aired as normal on Wednesday night.

The wait is nearly over! #TheMaskedSinger returns tonight! 🎉

Fox later tweeted that the episode would still air Wednesday night after the game ended. Fox also asked Canadian fans to refrain from sharing spoilers, as the episode aired on schedule in Canada.

‘My day is ruined’

The Phillies were leading 1-0 in the series after their 7-6 victory over their NL East rivals Tuesday, which was later than anticipated. The Braves and Phillies were supposed to start Wednesday’s game at 4:35 p.m. ET on Fox, so it could have been over by the time The Masked Singer was scheduled to start at 8 p.m. ET; however, due to the delay, The Masked Singer had to be postponed. Unfortunately for viewers, Fox cannot move the game to its national cable sports network since another game between different teams is set to air at 8:30 p.m

‘Big mistake Fox!’

It was a BIG mistake for FOX to replace The Masked Singer with baseball without giving viewers any warning!

Many fans of The Masked Singer were very upset to see baseball instead of their show on Wednesday night.

‘I had no idea I’d be seeing a baseball game.’

I was surprised to see baseball on the Fox network instead of The Masked Singer.

One person jokingly suggested that FOX play The Masked Singer side-by-side with the Phillies game.

During the game, Fox kept running advertisements for ‘The Masked Singer’ (for example).

The fox network, which is airing a baseball game, just aired a promo for their show “the masked singer.”

I can guarantees that the show will not air tonight at 8/7 central.

The Masked Singer commercials were met with confusion by many Fox viewers, who noted that the network was still airing commercials for The Masked Singer at 8 p.m. ET. These advertisements aired well after 8 p.m., which was the problem!

Why is there a baseball game on??

Why is there a baseball game on tonight? It’s supposed to be The Masked Singer! Is it possible for someone in eastern time to check if fox channel has the MLB on TV? Or am I alone. Don’t want to get any spoilers 😥

Fox has not yet announced when the show will air, which has led many fans to wonder if it will be next week or if Fox will make changes to its schedule later this week.

It’s not fair that baseball took the spot of the best show on TV.

Right on, sister! Why does sports have to take precedence over the programs I want to watch?

“It’s not fair Baseball took the spot for the best show on TV, please try to get an update. It’s not fair, we are missing the episode here on the East Coast,” one fan wrote.
