Anchorman: Star Arrested for DUI

David Koechner, an actor from the comedy movie, Anchorman, was arrested on December 31 in Simi Valley, California, for driving under the influence.

TMZ claims that Koechner was arrested at around 3 PM PT by local cops and incarcerated at Ventura County Jail shortly thereafter. According to TMZ, police received a phone call about an “irritable driver.” When a patrolling officer noticed Koechner, he was subjected to several field sobriety tests that he allegedly failed. Koechner was released on January 1 and will return to court in March. Koechner is famous for playing Champ Kind in the Anchorman movies. Todd Packer, an actor best known for his role as Todd Packer on the hit TV show The Office, is currently on tour performing stand-up comedy throughout the United States.

At the same time, he’s filming a new sports drama called National Champions. The film follows a college football quarterback who launches a player’s strike just before the national championship game.
