Following months of fan speculation, American Horror Story Season 8 finally has a title – Apocalypse.

The show certainly knows how to create a buzz surrounding upcoming seasons by keeping fans in the dark surrounding information regarding plot lines, cast members and even the title.

It comes to no surprise that FX decided to wait until San Diego Comic-Con to unveil the title, where thousands of fans waited near a huge screen that counted down till the big name reveal. The title was additionally revealed on AHS’s social media accounts.

A poster released alongside the title suggests there could be a Rosemary’s Baby vibe going on. In a tweet, the show’s creator Ryan Murphy confirmed that Season 8 would be a “crossover” with Murder House (Season 1) and Coven (Season 3) – perhaps Cordelia Foxx (Sarah Paulson) and her coven are back and are dealing with some mystery relating to the antichrist and an infant in the Murder House (going back to the first season, that wouldn’t be a bad guess, right?).

So far details about the plot itself haven’t yet been disclosed, but in an interview with EW Murphy provided some brief notes about the upcoming season. “It’s a season unlike anything we’ve done because there’s a big hook to it,” he said.

Season 8 of FX’s widely popular anthology series is set to take place approximately 18 months from now. “There’s a huge thing that happens in Episode 5,” Murphy teases. The show also sees some familiar faces returning, including: Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Kathy Bates, Billie Lourd, Cheyenne Jackson and many more.

Joan Collins is the latest addition to join the cast, and will reportedly play the grandmother to Peters’ “comedic hairdresser” character.

American Horror Story: Apocalypse will premiere on FX on September 12.
