‘American Horror Story: Apocalypse’ New Full Trailer Dives Deeper into the End of the World

On Tuesday, American Horror Story fans got a little taste of what lies ahead in the upcoming eighth season of the anthology, but of course, we want more! Series creator Ryan Murphy gave fans just that!

On Wednesday afternoon, Murphy confirmed an extended full trailer for American Horror Story: Apocalypse would be released giving fans only one hour’s notice to prepare! Murphy was strictly business when it came to announcing the trailer drop. He very directly tweeted, “Full Apocalypse trailer out in one hour.”

Just like that, we have our first in-depth look at the upcoming season. Long-time American Horror Story fans will be pleased to see many more familiar faces in the extended version which gives us a peek into the full storyline of the Apocalypse season.

The world has ended. It’s not safe to venture out but the group of survivors will remold the world on their own terms. Of course, being American Horror Story, those terms are super twisted!

Since the upcoming eighth season is a crossover, many other familiar American Horror Story faces and characters have been confirmed as returning including Kathy Bates Gabourey Sidibe, Frances Conroy, Connie Britton, and the legendary Stevie Nicks in addition to Sarah Paulson (who is also making her directorial debut this season), Evan Peters, Emma Roberts, Lily Rabe, Taissa Farmiga, Dylan McDermott, Connie Britton, Billy Eichner and Jessica Lange.

The eighth installment of the series, American Horror Story: Apocalypse, will premiere on September 12th on FX.
