Amber Heard Fires Her Publicity Team Amid ‘Bad Headlines’ and Increased Public Support for Johnny Depp

Amber Heard fired her public relations team halfway through Johnny Depp‘s defamation lawsuit against her, after a string of negative publicity.

The New York Post first reported the news on Sunday. On Thursday, according to The Post, Heard terminated the crisis public relations firm Precision Strategies.

According to one source “she doesn’t like bad headlines,” while another source said Heard is “frustrated with her story not being told effectively.”

In 2019, Johnny Depp filed a lawsuit against Heard for claiming in a Washington Post op-ed that she was a victim of domestic violence. In the article, she did not identify Depp. Both Depp and Heard have been accused of being physically abusive to each other.

The allegations have made numerous headlines since the case began three weeks ago, many of which have been detrimental to Heard.

Depp said that Heard or one of her pals had defecated in their bed after he broke up with her on her 30th birthday. Heard initially blamed the feces on her dogs, but Depp stated that owing to the dogs weighing 4 pounds each, it was physically impossible.

In 2015, he testified that Heard had thrown a glass vodka bottle at him, injuring his finger. Heard said Depp committed the harm himself.

A Change.org petition to have Heard fired from “Aquaman 2” has gained momentum, acquiring more than 2.9 million signatures as of the time of this article.

The Post reported that Heard has hired David Shane, the president and CEO of Shane Communications, which specializes in crisis and issue management for corporations and high-profile people.

According to a source familiar with the situation, Shane Communications is now working with Heard ahead of her hearing, which is scheduled to begin on Wednesday.

Shane Communications has previously worked on another high-profile case: the conflict between Depp and his former business managers at The Management Group. The company assisted in publicizing allegations regarding the actor’s spending habits.

We’ll keep you up to date this week on the status of the trail and any developments involving Johnny Depp and Amber Heard.
