Amber Heard Confirms Role as Mera Queen of Atlantis

It was rumored earlier this
year that Amber Heard was in talks to
play Aquaman’s incredibly awesome
wife Mera. While speaking with ET she not only
confirmed the role in
Justice League Part One and the solo
Aquaman movie, but
she discussed her costume!

“It’s interesting.
It’s like, half suit of
armor,
half scales,” Heard revealed. “It’s strange… We’re in the process of

building it now, so it’s coming
along.”

on to how you see Mera in the comics. To bring
Mera to life is one of the things

I am looking most forward to in the DCCU. As much as everyone loves Louis
Lane
and Iris West, Mera is my
favorite spouse of a Justice League member. She is a
force to be reckoned
with, her mastery of magic comes
only second to her wit.

Amber Heard has the right presents to pull this character off, she projects

strength and kindness at the
same time, which is all you can hope for from your
queen.
