As I’m sure you’ve heard, Taylor Swift recently released a new single and music video called “Look What You Made Me Do” and of course, it’s already smashing records. Taylor has never been one to shy away from hidden meanings and symbolism in her music videos, but the video for “LWYMMD” is unlike anything she’s ever done before. Both the song and video touch on Taylor shedding all of her old personas and eras of the past and starting fresh.
It was a trip down memory lane for many Swift fans as Taylor has one scene where she literally kills off all of the Old Taylors. Like, it’s actually a part of the song where she lets everyone know that the Old Taylor is dead. Some of the Old Taylors are wearing well-known red carpet and award show looks while others are rocking looks from her past tours or music videos.
So, let’s take a look back at the Taylor’s that she killed off in the video.

Having studied Media & Writing at James Madison University, I always knew that I wanted to do some type of creative writing, but being able to write about zombies, Starks, and superheroes on a daily basis for Fan Fest is my actual dream. While I probably shouldn’t be as proud as I am to be so similar to Nick Miller, I do hope to one day write my own “Pepperwood Chronicles’.
