‘Angel’ Alum Alexis Denisof Joins ‘Chilling Adventures of Sabrina’

Netflix’s Chilling Adventures of Sabrina certianly paid homage to some of the greats in horror throughout its debut season, drawing inspiration from Rosemary’s Baby to The Exorcist to Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Now, a Buffy alum will actually be making his way to Greendale as Alexis Denisof has been cast to play Ms. Wardwell’s (Michelle Gomez) boyfriend Adam Masters in the upcoming second season.

According to TVLineAdam Masters “returns to Greendale after a stint overseas working with Physicians Without Frontiers — unaware that his fiancée has been taken over by the demoness Madam Satan.” Alexis Denisof is no stranger to the horror genre as he played Wesley Wyndam-Pryce on Buffy the Vampire Slayer’s third season before reprising the character on the Buffy spinoff, Angel, for the show’s entire five-season run.

The Originals’ Jedidiah Goodacre will also be guest-starring in Sabrina’s sophomore season as a warlock named Dorian Gray. Netflix revealed that Gray owns an exclusive nightclub called Dorian’s Gray Room. He’s an “enigmatic gentleman of an indeterminate age and is very good at keeping secrets, especially his own — a cursed portrait he hides from prying eyes.”

The first season of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, which was pitched as a sister show to The CW’s Riverdale, dropped on Netflix this October. It follows Sabrina Spellman (Kiernan Shipka) as she struggles to find her identity while juggling the two worlds, and two paths, that come with being a half-mortal and half-witch. Netflix had ordered two seasons of Sabrina right off the bat. The streaming giant recently announced a Christmas Special titled “A Midwinter’s Tale” which will be available to stream on Friday, December 14th.

Chilling Adventures of Sabrina also stars Chance Perdomo, Ross Lynch, Lucy Davis, Miranda Otto, Richard Coyle, Tati Gabrielle, Gavin Leatherwood, and Jaz Sinclair.
