ABC’s new pilot has cast its leading family man! According to TVLine, Under the Dome and The Brave alum, Mike Vogel, has been cast to star in Triangle, a Bermuda triangle drama that feels like it could be the network’s new Lost. The series follows “a family who is shipwrecked in this strange land where they must band together with a group of like-minded inhabitants — from throughout history — to survive and somehow find a way home.”
Vogel will be playing David Roman, “an orphan who spent much of his childhood bouncing between foster homes. Now hoping to begin a new life with his daughter, Natalie and fiancé, Alex, their tropical vacation is interrupted by a violent storm which capsizes their boat and lands them in a strange land filled with danger, mystery, and no way home.” Triangle will be written by Tru Calling’s Jon Harmon Feldman and Life on Mars’ Sonny Postiglione.
The actor most recently appeared as Adam Dalton on NBC’s The Brave alongside Anne Heche and Tate Ellington. Prior to that he starred in all three seasons of Under the Dome and recurred on season one of Bates Motel. Film credits include Poseidon, The Boy, Cloverfield, and Battle of the Sexes.
We will keep you posted on any other casting announcements for Triangle! In the meantime, let us know what you think of the concept. Is it a show you’d be interested in watching?
Having studied Media & Writing at James Madison University, I always knew that I wanted to do some type of creative writing, but being able to write about zombies, Starks, and superheroes on a daily basis for Fan Fest is my actual dream. While I probably shouldn’t be as proud as I am to be so similar to Nick Miller, I do hope to one day write my own “Pepperwood Chronicles’.
