‘A Quiet Place’ Makes Some More Noise at the Box Office

Paramount’s A Quiet Place has been anything but quiet since its theatrical release three weeks ago. The near dialogue-free film starring John Krasinski and Emily Blunt has continued to impress critics and audiences alike and it has the box office numbers to prove it.

The film is on track to bring in $22 million from this past weekend’s showings, allowing it to reclaim the No. 1 spot at the box office, which was briefly taken by Dwayne Johnson’s Rampage last weekend. A Quiet Place cost a mere $17 million to make, so the films estimated worldwide total of about $207.2 million is an impressive feat for Paramount, making it their highest-grossing domestic release in nearly two years.

Rampage didn’t make quite the splash that it did in its opening weekend, but the Rock’s action film still managed to bring in about $21 million, which is only a 41% drop from last weekend. After just 10 days Rampage has earned $66.6 million.

Coming in third place was Amy Schumer’s I Feel Pretty which is on track to gross just over $16 million. While it hasn’t impressed the critics, the number is slightly higher than the estimated predictions.
