Still Swinging! Parks gang reunites for one last bang! Seriously. It’s happening!
The cast of the beloved NBC sitcom Parks and Recreation will be reuniting in 2019 to celebrate the show’s 10th anniversary. The full cast and creative team will all take the stage together at the 2019 PaleyFest LA in March in commemoration of the 10th anniversary of the show’s series premiere back in 2009. According to series star Amy Poehler, no one is more excited than the cast.
In a statement, Poehler and co-creator and showrunner Mike Schur said, “We’re thrilled to be reuniting at PaleyFest. And truth be told, we were all hanging out already anyway, so carpooling will be easy.”
With a cast that includes the likes of Chris Pratt, Aubrey Plaza, Rob Lowe, Adam Scott, and Aziz Ansari in addition to Poehler and Offerman, timing and schedules really seem like the only major roadblocks in bringing the show’s cast back together. The Parks and Rec cast has, thankfully, gone on to work on some majorly successful projects. The news of the epic reunion comes just a few months after Poehler said she was available to do a show reunion. While this isn’t exactly a revival or a reboot which fans were hoping to see, having the full cast all back together will certainly be a treat.
In addition to the Parks and Recreation panel, PaleyFest also announced that the cast of Pose and the cast of This Is Us will be featured during their 2019 programming. PaleyFest will take place from March 15th through March 24, 2019.
The full schedule of programming for the upcoming 2019 PaleyFest will be announced on January 14th.
