ABC’s new fan favorite drama series A Million Little Things is moving on up to a new time slot when it returns from winter break.

A Million Little Things currently airs on Wednesday nights at 10 PM and was just recently picked up for a full season order by ABC. When it returns to the air on January 17th, the series will be moving to Thursdays at 9 PM, right in between ABC’s other mega-hit dramas Grey’s Anatomy and How to Get Away with Murder. Taking over the show’s old time slot is the new Lauren Cohan and Scott Foley series Whiskey Cavalier which will premiere on Wednesday, February 27th at 10 PM.

Audiences have fallen in love with A Million Little Things, and moving the series in line with the networks other big drama series could produce a massive ratings lift, which is undoubtedly what ABC is hoping to achieve.

A Million Little Things features a critically-acclaimed ensemble cast led David Giuntoli, Ron Livingston, Romany Malco, and James Roday. The series also stars Stephanie Szostak, Allison Miller, Christina Moses, Christina Ochoa, Grace Park, and Lizzy Greene.

DJ Nash is the creator and executive producer; Aaron Kaplan, Dana Honor, and James Griffiths are executive producers. A Million Little Things is produced by ABC Studios and Kapital Entertainment.

The official synopsis for the series reads:

“They say friendship isn’t one big thing, it’s a million little things, and that’s true for a group of friends from Boston who bonded under unexpected circumstances. Some have achieved success, others are struggling in their careers and relationships, but all of them feel stuck in life. After one of them dies unexpectedly, it’s just the wake-up call the others need to finally start living. Along the way, they discover that friends may be the one thing to save them from themselves.”

A Million Little Things will air on Thursdays at 9 PM EST on ABC starting in January.
