Star Wars: Carrie Fisher Newly Found Note Shared By Her Brother

Carrie Fisher’s brother, Todd Fisher, in a recent article from Page Six, revealed that he recently found an after-death note written by his sister. Here’s what it said:

“I am dead. How are you? I’ll see you soon … I would call and tell you what this is like, but there is no reception up here. Cut. New scene, new setup, new heavenly location. I have finally got the part that I have been rehearsing for all my life. God gave me the part. This is the end of the road I have been touring on all my life.”

In the interview, Todd says he was going through his mothers’ belongings when he found the note. Todd and Carrie’s mom, Debbie Reynolds, passed away the day after Carrie. Todd says he knows the letter was written by his sister because he “knows Carrie’s writing inside and out” as it is “unmistakable.”

“Either it was something Carrie wrote long ago because she was doing a story on death, or it just materialized from beyond. She was writing as if she was dead and what it was like,” he explained. “It just blew my mind. I thought, ‘Wow, why am I finding this right now?’”

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker used unseen footage of Carrie Fisher as Princess Leia that was unused from The Last Jedi. The footage appears to show that dialogue for the unused footage was written around what they had remaining of Fisher.  Without spoiling anything, Star Wars gave Leia a proper send-off that was fitting and believable without having to resort to CGI.

The final film Star Wars trilogy and saga, The Rise of Skywalker, had its world premiere in Los Angeles with audience members and critics headed to Twitter to share their instant reactions.  Members of the press had mostly positive reactions of the final chapter in the Skywalker saga, which stars Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, John Boyega and Oscar Isaac, among others.

As well, fans appear to have enjoyed the final film, as at the time of this article, it has an 86% approval rating / audience score on RottenTomatoes.com.
