PlayStation’s State Of Play Returns Tuesday, December 10th With Big Announcements

It’s be 84 years y’all. All jokes aside, most know I’m a huge PlayStation fan. I’ve been blessed to be able to cover and review several of PlayStation’s big games this year. But this time of year gets a little cold, and not just because of winter weather. A lot of times game companies just don’t have much to say. I’m happy to report PlayStation is bringing the presents early with a new State Of Play.

You may remember State Of Play. We seem to have gotten one every two to three months. But like Nintendo it seems too far in between. The biggest news to drop on PlayStation’s Direct-like program has been Last Of Us Part II’s release date, which was later recanted. But now we can’t expect to know more about PlayStation’s upcoming plans December 10th, at 9am EST. Time to go ahead and set your coffee timers, it’s gonna be an early morning.

PlayStation Blog promises a twenty minute program that has “new game reveals, release date announcements, new gameplay footage, PlayStation Worldwide Studios updates, and more”. They also set some future expectations, don’t expect any next-gen (meaning PS5) news during this presentation. With only twenty minutes I would certainly hope there wouldn’t be any time to talk about PlayStation 5.

This is the confirmation of a few rumors running around Twitter I’ve seen the last few days. Nibel on Twitter reported a possible State Of Play while also mentioning Ghost Of Tsushima’s playlist on YouTube was slyly updated. The same exact adjusting happened to the State Of Play playlist as well-

Ghost Of Tsushima is a samurai-themed action game we have not heard about in quite some time from PlayStation, so here’s to hoping it’s coming soon. One would wonder if that’s anytime soon however given Last Of Us Part II’s May release. There are also recent PSN leaks of Resident Evil 3 Remake cover art to address, and perhaps this is the place to do it. After all, the last 2 Resident Evil games were announced at PlayStation events.

I like you have no idea what’s in store. All we can do is set our alarms and get ready for next Tuesday. Are you hoping for something Ghost Of Tsushima? Is Resident Evil more your jam? Tell us about it in the comments section.
