E.T. and Elliott Are Back In Nostalgic Holiday Commercial
E.T. is back! It may not be the sequel you were hoping for, but it’s a magical commercial that almost doubles as one! Ready for all of the nostalgia? Let’s go!
In the spot for Xfinity, the description reads: “After 37 years, E.T. comes back to visit his friend, Elliott, for the holidays. During his stay, E.T. learns that Elliott now has a family of his own and that technology has completely changed on Earth since his last visit.”
The commercial duplicates some of the great moments and themes of family with Elliott (Henry Thomas) and his family, including the classic bike flight past the moon. E.T. let’s Elliott that he now has a family too, as we see Elliott and his family all grown up. There are other small easter eggs planted throughout, so see if you can catch them all!
