Remember that station wagon Malcolm was looking for? He found it and someone shooting at him. Malcolm tells Gil all about the car. In the midst of all this, a woman was found crushed in a car compactor. Coincidence?
Meanwhile, Ainsley is preparing for her interview and Jessica doesn’t approve. She feels that Martin will walk all over Ainsley. Ainsley has thought everything through and not even a crazed prisoner named Tevin can shake her. Ainsley catches Martin off guard when she starts asking questions about his victims and he plays it off as mental illness. Jessica was right. He’s twisting everything Ainsley says to make himself look good.
The crushed woman wasn’t the only victim. There are nine victims and no connection to the station wagon. But Dr. Tanaka fids a pocket knife in the middle console. Malcolm crashes Ainsley’s interview to ask Martin about the current murders and the fishing trip.
Ainsley gets the idea to team up with Malcolm to get a rise out of Martin. It works but they are interrupted when Tevin kills a guard and comes looking for Ainsley. I feel like Martin knew this would happen. Ainsley sends her cameraman boyfriend, Jin, out with the guard to get some B-roll and Tevin, who stole a keycard, stabs him. Martin saves Jin.
Malcolm finds out that Tevin loves attention so he takes Jin’s camera to trick Tevin into thinking he’s giving an interview before being tased and detained. Tevin admitted that Martin put him up to the lockdown.
A mysterious ringing is heard from Martin’s home office. It was supposedly disconnected… An old friend called.
Malcolm not do anything stupid? Ha! How many episodes has he put himself in danger? Seven. I’m not going to lie though, the Whitlys (- Jessica) make a good team all things considered. This episode was amazing! I can’t wait for next week!
