The series also stars Ron Cephas Jones (This Is Us) and Timothy Simons (Veep) in addition to Landry Bender, Sofia Vassilieva, Uriah Shelton and Jordan Connor. It comes from Paramount Television and The OC’s Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage. Looking for Alaska has been a passion project for Schwartz, who will serve as EP and Showrunner. He was given Green’s unpublished manuscript back in 2005 and worked diligently yet unsuccessfully to turn it into a movie. Years later Schwartz approached Green again with a limited series, and with the help of Paramount TV president Amy Powell, they were able to re-acquire the rights.
Looking for Alaska marks the third John Green adaption. His novels The Fault in Our Stars and Paper Towns were both turned into very successful films. Are you excited for Looking for Alaska to hit Hulu? Be sure to tune in on October 18th!
