The cast of HBO’s Westworld delivered the first trailer for the show’s third season today during their San Diego Comic-Con panel.

From the trailer, it’s unclear exactly as to where (or when) this season will take place. The trailer jumps to and from all different time periods including what appears to be Nazi Germany. At the end of last season, it would seem that the show was stepping outside of the narrative park, but did they?

The footage looks incredible. The visuals are stunning, and the action is kicked into high gear. Buckle up! It’s going to be one hell of a season.

Check out the trailer below.

In addition to the trailer, new character posters were also revealed. Each poster contains images of the show’s character in what looks like three different timelines.

Check out the posters below.

The series stars Evan Rachel Wood (Dolores Abernathy), Thandie Newton (Maeve Millay), Jeffrey Wright (Bernard Lowe), James Marsden (Teddy Flood), Ed Harris (the Man in Black), Anthony Hopkins (Dr. Robert Ford), Jimmi Simpson (William), and Luke Hemsworth (Ashley Stubbs). Breaking Bad star Aaron Paul joins the cast for its third season.

The series is set in an alternate/virtual reality world in which visitors can escape from their actual reality through artificial intelligence. Those who choose to visit the Westworld theme park can interact with robotic (though incredibly lifelike) hosts in order to play out different narratives and experiences. When the hosts begin glitching causing them to go off-script and wreak havoc, no one, including the park’s developers and creators, is safe.

Westworld will air on HBO sometime in 2020.
