GLOW stars Alison Brie as Ruth Wilder/Zoya the Destroyer, a struggling actress who takes a leap of faith on a new project called GLOW which turns out to be exactly where she belongs. Betty Gilpin plays Debbie Eagan/Liberty Bell; a former actress turned first-time mom turned wrestling superstar. Marc Maron plays Sam Sylvia, the director pulling the whole production together.

The first season of GLOW was more of a nostalgic trip down memory lane back to the glorious and humble beginnings of the original 1980s television series. Season two added a level of maturity and depth to the already established storylines and characters. The newly released synopsis gives us a little preview of what’s to come in season three.

Synopsis:

[row]”Season 3 follows the ladies of GLOW as they take the Vegas strip by storm. Now headliners at the Fan-Tan Hotel and Casino, the women quickly realize Sin City is much more grind than glitter. Ever the team cheerleader, Ruth’s passion for the show begins to take a backseat to her growingly complicated personal life. Debbie is making headway as a producer but continues to be consumed with guilt over the distance between her and her son. As their residency wears on, the lines blur between performance and reality, and the cast finds themselves struggling with their own identities both in and outside of the ring.”[/row]

Creators Liz Flahive and Carly Mensch also serve as showrunners on the series. Executive producers include Flahive, Mensch, Tara Hermann, and Jenji Kohan.

GLOW season 3 bodyslams onto Netflix on June 28, 2019.
